Sohee Baek has built up her extensive knowledge of biology, biochemistry, biophysical chemistry, bioorganic chemistry, food biotechnology, microbiology, molecular biology and structural biology during her years at both academic and industrial area, Korea Polytechnic University, Konkuk University, Seoul National University, Technical University of Munich, Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry and Proteros Biostructures GmbH. She obtained a doctorate in Chemisty from Technical University of Munich and Max Planck Institute of Biochemistry for research in the field of protein biochemistry, more specifically, protein-ligand systems of medical therapeutics and further understanding the preventive or inhibitive mechanism of natural-functional chemicals on various chronic diseases, such as aging-related, metabolic diseases and cancer. Thereafter she worked as a research scientist at Proteros Biostructures GmbH in Munich for industrial-practical experience and joined the firm of Dr. Schön, Neymeyr & Partner in 2016 to become a European patent attorney.
