Ulrich Neymeyr studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University of Aachen (RWTH), majoring in design. His concentrations were in plastics and plastics processing.
During several years in industry as a design engineer and project leader in the automotive and medical products industries, he learned what it takes to be an engineer and how to speak the design engineer’s language. He also acquired professional experience in an international environment during a year-long assignment in the development department of a Japanese company in Kyoto, Japan.
As a patent attorney, he has many years of practical experience in handling patent applications and litigation in the fields of mechanical and electronic engineering, including medical applications and telecommunications. He is also highly experienced in trademark matters, employee inventions, and license agreements.
Mr. Neymeyr is licensed to practice before the German Patent and Trademark Office, the Federal Patent court, the European Patent Office (EPO), the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) in Alicante, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) in Geneva, and – in patent nullity cases – the German Supreme Court.
